About Dr Luke
Dr Luke started The Healing Centre alongside his wife Lissy with a vision to provide accessible, holistic healthcare to the Auckland community. He sees patients at the Remuera clinic.
His Māori and Cook Island heritage deeply influences his approach to health and community service. With a strong foundation in his cultural values, he feels honoured to contribute to society through chiropractic care, and it is the reason the practice runs a koha model of care for people in the community who need it.
His journey to chiropractic was not a straight line. It began in the army and passed through the mining industry before he found his purpose in chiropractic. That background gives him a practical, plain-spoken way of working with people from every walk of life, whether they have come in with a sudden injury or a problem that has been there for years.
Dr Luke is also a certified personal trainer, so exercise and daily habits are part of the conversation, not an afterthought. He is passionate about serving his community and helping people reach their own health goals, as a guide and a partner rather than someone with all the answers.
